Sponsors a Citizens Workshop

Local Water Trends: The Past, Present and Future of Water

A citizens workshop was held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002 at Watson Lake Pavilion, by the newly-formed Citizens Water Advocacy Group in the Tri-Cities area. About 90 area residents interested in the responsible use of our scarce water resources attended to discuss local water issues and determine interest in creating a citizens water advocacy group. Speakers were State Rep. Tom O'Halleran, Warning Coordinator Meteorologist George Howard from the National Weather Service, Arizona Department of Water Resources Prescott Management Area Director Jim Holt and U.S. Geological Survey's Laurie Wirt.
