January 17, 2004 Annual General Membership Meeting

The Verde River Citizens Alliance (VRCA) held its annual general membership meeting Jan. 17, 2004 at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Activities included the biennial election of officers and discussion of plans for the coming year. Bill Goss was elected president; Steve Kling, vice president; Christopher Hulse, secretary; and David Nelson, treasurer. Anita Rochelle, VRCA outgoing president, brought the membership up to date on the issues and events relating to the Yavapai Ranch Land Trade.

 

December 20, 2003 Meeting, Win Hjalmarson Speaks -Awards Presented


The unforgettable, and inimitable, Win Hjalmarson presented a commentary on events over the past year and a look at the future.

Community members who received awards for their meritorious contributions in preserving water resources in the Verde Valley were Jane Moore, Max Castillo, Barbara Litrell, Tony Gioia, David Leibforth, Dick Ellis, Diane Joens, and Bob Rothrock. Citizens Water Advisory Group (CWAG) received organizational recognition for the work they've done in the Tri-cities area.
