May 17, 2003 - Verde River Cleanup Project

VRCA Works at Dead Horse Ranch


Streambed restoration on the Verde River, assisting Mingus Union High School biology teacher Howie Usher with class field sessions, and Verde River cleanup are recent VRCA work activities. In May VRCA worked on cleaning up the Verde Greenway in appreciation of the hospitality of the State Park in permitting community groups to use their facility. Verde River Greenway Coordinator Max Castillo led the group and hiked with them to see a nearby seep.
